What We Do
HelpNet LLC connects individuals experiencing traumatic brain injury to people who can help them. HelpNet does this by offering its services to the Traumatic Brain Injury Trust Fund Program (TBI Program) in New Mexico.
As part of its contract with the TBI Program, HelpNet maintains an extensive network of vendors, which provide services such as therapies, home and vehicle modifications, emergency housing, assistive technology, and more. The state of New Mexico compensates HelpNet for setting up service agreements and payment arrangements with vendors that allow individuals experiencing traumatic brain injury to get the help they need.
Many success stories are growing out of the help offered by the TBI Program in New Mexico. These stories are about people contributing in their own communities who were once not able, or less able to contribute.
Among the many stories, there is one about a man named Alonzo who suffered a brain injury in an ATV accident. He was unable to walk or use his hands. Today - with the help of the TBI Program, which funded his therapy services and vehicle modifications, and because of his great perseverance - he can drive himself wherever he needs to go. And he can walk with the help of a walker. Today his paintings, done years after his accident, are showing on the walls of an establishment in his own community.
At HelpNet we do what we do for stories like this, and we hope that every person we serve can claim a success story of their own.
